Finding the perfect dress for your pageant can make or break your first impression with the judges. But what’s popular this season on the pageant circuit? Here are a few teen pageant dress trends to look out for when shopping for your next dress.
Ball Gowns Are Making a Comeback
Nothing makes an impact like a jaw-dropping ball gown. It’s elegant and sophisticated! If you want to switch it up, look for a modern twist on this classic, like Miss North Carolina Outstanding Teen (and fellow Camille’s employee) Kenzie Hansley did with her stunning, yellow gown. It still has the full ball gown effect, but the unique, drop waist take it to a new level!
Illusion Necklines
Sheer, illusion necklines, especially the beaded variety, have been popular for about a year now and show no signs of letting up. This fun detail adds more personality to a dress. I’ve seen quite a few dresses for little girls and teens that have this feature and are too beautiful to pass up. Our Tiffany Princess and Tiffany Designs gowns offer quite a few variations on this trend.
Two-Piece Dresses and Circle Skirts
Nothing is more playful and trendy as the two-piece dress! Long or short, these are becoming very popular at pageants. Circle skirts, inspired by the 1950’s, are also on trend. Pair a pleated or full, short circle skirt with a crop top for a fun look. For something more elegant, look for a crop top with a slimming, long skirt instead.
